Description
A simple, creamy, and healthy frozen yogurt made with just frozen mango chunks and Greek yogurt. This no-churn dessert is perfect for meal prep and requires no fancy equipment.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (300g) frozen mango chunks
- 1 cup (240g) plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on mango sweetness)
- 1 tsp lime juice (optional, for brightness)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavor)
Instructions
- Ensure mango chunks are fully frozen. If using fresh, freeze chunks on a baking sheet for at least 2 hours.
- Place frozen mango chunks in a high-speed blender or food processor. Pulse to break down, then blend on high until a smooth, icy puree forms (1-2 minutes). Scrape down sides as needed.
- Add Greek yogurt to the blended mango. Blend again until fully incorporated and creamy.
- If using, add honey/maple syrup, lime juice, and vanilla extract. Blend for another 30 seconds to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tang if necessary.
- Spoon the mixture into small airtight containers, filling about three-quarters full to allow for expansion.
- Seal containers tightly and freeze for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, until firm.
- To serve, let the container sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly before eating.
Notes
Ensure mango is rock hard from the freezer for the best texture. If the blender struggles, add a splash of water or yogurt. Let yogurt sit out for 5-10 minutes before serving to soften. Store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
