Description
A refreshing, healthy strawberry soda mocktail made with just fresh strawberries, sparkling water, and lime. Perfect for meal prep and ready in under 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh ripe strawberries (or frozen, thawed)
- 1 to 2 cups unsweetened sparkling water (club soda or seltzer)
- Juice of half a fresh lime
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave (optional, depending on strawberry sweetness)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash strawberries thoroughly, remove green tops/hulls, and chop large berries in half. Place in a blender.
- Add lime juice and honey (if using) to the blender. Blend on high speed until smooth.
- For a seedless drink, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing with a spoon to extract juice. Discard seeds.
- Chill the strawberry puree in the refrigerator.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour 2-3 tablespoons of chilled strawberry puree into the glass.
- Slowly pour cold sparkling water over the puree to create fizz.
- Stir gently to combine. Garnish with mint or a strawberry slice and serve immediately.
Notes
For meal prep, make a larger batch of strawberry puree and store in the fridge for up to 4 days. Mix with soda just before drinking to maintain carbonation. Use frozen strawberry ice cubes to keep the drink cold without dilution. Ensure all ingredients are cold for the best flavor.
